Jodhpur 2020
JODHPUR
Being quarantined at home is making me reminisce about Jodhpur. It was my second solo trip. I went there for 4 days and 3 nights by train in January this year. My purpose was to photograph & explore the city. I mainly wanted to get that cliche picture of Jodhpur with blue city walls & luckily got one which is one of my favourites.
I covered all the places I had on my checklist & managed to walk a lot in the old city area. I loved the feel of traveling alone because I had all my time to photograph and could eat and spend time wherever I felt like.
I would have my lunch at Dagley the lounge, a pretty terrace cafe with lovely aesthetics & music, and would also spend 2 hours straight there with coffee.
Although, I did miss having company by my side during this time of the day.
I spent a lot of time in Toorji ka jhalra (a famous step-well) & various museums. I walked a lot and also managed to escape from being bitten by 2 dogs. By evening I would get so tired that I had take away burgers in my hotel room.
I just can’t wait to travel again and explore life and different streets.
